Hi:
First I want to thank you for this code. It is providing just the
functionality I was hoping to find.
In the last posting from December I found this comment:
Right now, the pyogp bots are only setting appearance per
their last known
outfit, as reported to the client by the simulator.
However, each avatar that I have created has appeared with an odd,
multi-colored "skirt" on,
even males. So, I was wondering if there is some default outfit being
used or if perhaps some
test code is still in place. Any help about where to look or how to
fix the problem would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Ralph! Glad to hear you are finding value on the pyogp code. The pyogp
bots are in fact rendering appearances per their last worn outfit. The
unpacking of VirtualParams provided to a client requires some precision that
may be lacking in some cases yet. I've actually not yet touched this code
myself, but comparing what's in appearance.py with viewer code may lend
itself to a solution.

This is a crazy busy week at Linden Lab, but I'd be happy to help take a
look next week. Lemme know!

Well, I have played with debug print statements in appearance.py and
now feel
a little closer to truth, but not really close. So, I am hoping you
get time soon to
check it out. Perhaps i should also have mentioned that I altered the
examples
to use the agni uri instead aditi which did not respond.
Thanks again.
